In 1986, Father and Son Carlos and Louie Lara opened their first business, Elegant Penguin Formal Wear.
As the success of the store grew their dreams grew larger, in 1990 Louie Lara started El Paso’s first Bridal, Quince and Sweet 16 expo. Since the first year they have given back to the community by donating 100% of the door proceeds to various charities around the city.
Ever since then the Days of Remembrance Bridal Quince and Sweet 16 Expo has grown into El Paso’s largest and most successful fair with two expos a year. The Laras have also brought back their successful Family Expo annually!
Now 35 years after it began Louie and Aurora Lara the owners of Elegant Penguin Enterprises and are now the leading bridal quince and sweet 16 advertising outlet in El Paso, TX with their expos, social media and now their website.
Elegant Penguin Enterprises mission is to bring brand awareness to local and corporate businesses to help them thrive in the community. The Laras are proud and humble to part of this great city and appreciate the support. The Laras know that what they have been blessed with is a true gift from God to be able to help others.
We are El Paso Proud.
