Our Story

Northline Studio was founded in 2014 with a straightforward ambition: to make thoughtful architecture part of everyday life. Our earliest commissions were modest home alterations, where a better entrance, a carefully placed window or a more useful kitchen could change how an entire house felt.

Those projects established the way we still work. We ask detailed questions, draw several possibilities and explain the decisions behind our recommendations. As the studio grew, we brought architecture and interiors into one collaborative process, extending our work to new homes, independent businesses and the reuse of existing buildings.

What guides us

We believe a successful space should feel natural to use. Circulation should be clear, materials should suit their purpose and rooms should support more than a single moment in life. We value restraint, warmth and the character that emerges from a genuine response to place.

Natural materials are part of that approach, selected with attention to sourcing, maintenance and the way they age. Sustainability is considered through practical choices about building less, retaining more and designing for lasting usefulness.
