However, contact with cleaning agents such as chlorine, bleach, rubbing alcohol, antibacterial soaps and hand sanitizers "can break down the brilliance of metals and gems over time.” So obviously you don’t want to stop washing or sanitizing your hands but try your best to remove your ring and place it in a safe place before you clean your hands to try to keep your ring in the best shape!
